Singing is a natural part of us, an expression of our nature along with dance and other spontaneous interactions that are trained out of us early. Now money makers are reinforcing that on the backs of unsuspecting contestants and popular t.v. shows.
We had a lovely Interfaith Holiday Celebration here on Kaua'i at the Interfaith Roundtable gathering. The friends there, from many different Faith traditions each shared a little of their own experience, activities and/or faith connections and traditions during this season.
Here's some of that expression around the world. How wonderful to see the spreading consciousness of the oneness of all spirituality and all faiths. We are one -- nothing can take that from us, and we are not alone in the growing understanding of that as a vital, urgent source of salvation for us all.

Black Beauty Essence It is so sad that women are taught to attach so much importance to physical beauty. And then when they have the racist images to fight its even more horrible. How much time I spent, sadly wasted, worrying about that, and that’s part of the TRUE BEAUTY of getting older, feeling more freed up to release that and focus on the true inner beauty of the soul. My heartfelt wish is that women attain to true equality in this— and that all of us may cease being run by the tyranny of image. ...the trials which beset our every step, all our sorrow, pain, shame and grief, are born in the world of matter; whereas the spiritual kingdom never causes sadness. A man living with his thoughts in this Kingdom knows perpetual joy. The ills all flesh is heir to do not pass him by, but they only touch the surface of his life, the depths are calm and serene. Today, humanity is bowed down with trouble, sorrow and grief, no one escapes; the world is wet with tears; but… the remedy is at our doors. Let us turn our hearts away from the world of matter and live in the spiritual world! It alone can give us freedom! How do I call on the Spiritual world? Some examples are in these pages. Some touch the other realm in meditation or prayer, or even a walk in nature, or by feeling and/or showing love, working with detachment and so on.
