    Everyone knows diets, external solutions and so forth almost always end up in failure. The problem is in scientifically designed food that holds us tight in its grip. We look to willpower, but our brain's own signals-- our wiring-- leads us right to the overblown stress response and what's become our "remedy", the devastating, scornful eating cycle.

That inner circuitry has long created expectations that don't make sense. Our faulty notions call us to

From Reboot to Joy Neuroscience & Coaching

 Re- Training the Emotional Brain for Breakthrough Change 
    The Reboot to Joy process actually helps to rewire the emotional brain to states of balance and positive emotions. Many of the brain’s “survival circuits” are encoded during a full-blown stress response. They are extremely resistant to change and are often mal- adaptive. In stress eating, for example, the brain becomes “convinced”, in a sense, that its survival depends on some external thing or solution, eg., excess food. Thus, overeating, addictions, or other unbalanced conditions begin to feel normal, even vital to life.

      Brain re- training helps change the drives that trigger stress and stress eating, reducing symptoms while gradually eliminating circuits that trigger the unstoppable drive. In this method, each individual is given the support and ability to address their own personal eating hot- buttons. From there they can target, speak to and undo problematic brain circuits. Instead of trying to force a change from outside or through will, the new re-wiring takes charge, creating a new, more comfortable experience.

   The process uses simple tools that can be linked to your computer or phone. The tools guide the user through questions matching their emotional state at the time, queries selected to bring the brain into better balance and relaxation can ensue. In this more uplifted state, effectiveness, functionality and productivity is enhanced on every level.
.   The brain re- wire methods help reduce momentary stresses and weaken the cause of the distress (the stress circuitry). Thus that ingrained brain path is used less frequently, is less active and less easily or strongly triggered as more resilient wiring begins to take over.

     This coaching increases the ability to relax using brain- body cues and subliminal messages and reduces the power of the circuitry that triggers unstoppable drives, causing us to make unhealthy lifestyle choices. The neuronal circuitry that began and perpetuates over-drugging, overeating, addiction, etc., is reduced and gradually eliminated. It's a more thorough, long- lasting method than simple external or forced change as in discipline, dieting, accountability or willpower. Rather, it undoes the actual brain wiring that creates the negative state. The new re-wiring begins creating a new inner reward and the more comfortable experience of not wanting or needing the to indulge in the excess. A new pattern is created that calls us to healthy living and well-being.

 The Bigger Goal-- To Raise the Joy- Happiness Set Point 
     Our brain becomes habituated to its own particular level of happiness or distress. This is our set point ant the state we return to again and again, unconsciously and consistently. By using body- mind and neuroscience re- wiring over time, the brain becomes magnetized and gradually moves to healthier, more functional and constructive levels. The new circuitry overtakes the old pathways, rooting us to a new set point. We move more quickly and naturally through distress to resilient relief and joy. From that improved, higher level, we turn from the unhealthy naturally, powerfully pulled to a new state of overall health and well-being.

     Without retraining the emotional brain circuits driving our behavior, its highly resistant to change. Under distress blood rushes from the brain to the body limbs and other organs that are now in the “fight or flight” mode. Thinking is fuzzy, faulty or non -existent.  At that time we need support in a simple- to- follow method to guide us back to our calmness. We may also need the presence or voice of another human or group that can help stabilize us enough to engage the specified process that will helps us to detach and re- learn new, effective "rewired" responses. Personal coaching, therapy and/or peer support keeps us going. A teacher or guide helps in using the tools, releasing us from the habit of responding with stress and transforming that response into one that brings us back to our joy.

   Many programs around eating focus on weight- loss. More often than not that loss doesn't last long.
It's merely a band- aid, because the real crux of the problem is an over- blown, over- stated habitual response to stress. Thus, addressing and relieving that inflated response must take precedence over external solutions. Without changing that destructive pattern on a deep level, there can be no ongoing relief. The key to that vital healing must come from application of a specific, individually targeted neuroscience that works in a specific, individualized way. The tools of that science are thus able to re- wire the brain circuits that connect to the overactive hot - buttons triggering chronic dysfunctional eating.

The practice we teach and support offer specialized neuroscience and tools as a core to the program, initiating, cementing change that will last.
